Marco Pacassoni was born in Fano (Pu) on 12 june 1981, and since he was five, he was interested from music and percussions.
On 1991 he joins the Conservatory of Music "G. Rossini" of Pesaro.
On 1996 he starts his studies on jazz harmony and improvvisation on vibraphone and marimba with M° Daniele Di Gregorio and he attends summer stages with the Modern School of Milan directed by Franco Rossi (1995/1996/1997) in Pergola (Pu)
On 1997/1998/2000 Marco attends the summer clinics tough by the Berklee College of Music of Boston in Perugia, where he wins a scholarschip on 1998
On 1999, Marco goes to Berklee College of Music of boston to attend the 5 weeks program and he has the opportunity to study with Ed Saindon and Victor Mendoza
On 2000, he wins a scholarship at the "high level courses of jazz improvvisation" in Lecco by M° Giorgio Gaslini
On 2000, Marco attends at the "Center of Professional Music" (CPM) in Milan a course of high level of drum set that takes one year with M° Walter Calloni and in the same period he takes lesson by Andrea Dulbecco (Conservatory of Milan Faculty)
On 2001, Marco attends the course of Tecnology in Music arranged by the "Centre of Musical Studies INTEATRO" of Polverigi (AN), tough by Enrico Cosimi, Giuliano Palmieri and Francesco Sardella
On the 13th September of 2001 Marco graduates in Percussions Instruments from the Conservatory of Music G. Rossini with valuation of 10 cum laude
On 2002, Marco receives from the "Fondazione G. Rossini" of Pesaro, a scholarship for being graduated with the maximun on Percussion Instruments at the Conservatory of Music G. Rossini
On May 2004, Marco get the Bachelor Degree on Professional Music (on percussions, vibraphone, marimba and drum set) at Berklee College of Music of Boston USA with the studies with Gary Burton (vibraphone), Ed Saidon (vibraphone and marimba), Victor Mendoza (vibraphone), Eguie Castrillo (latin percussions), John Ramsay (drum set), Steve Wilkes (drum set), Jeff Friedman (jazz harmony and arrangement) and many others with the valuation of Summa Cum Laude and a GPA of 3.91. He wins three schlarship and he's always present on the dean list of the president Lee Berk (a list with all the best musician are)
From May 2004 Marco is endorser UFIP cymbals of Mr. Tronci
On April 2005, he wins the first place at the "Chicco Bettinardi" National Jazz Competition being the best jazz italian talent. Marco wins playing his composition "Easter" and the Chic Corea tune "Spain" with the rhythm section Attilio Zanchi on acoustic bass and Massimo Manzi on drums
MOST IMPORTANT MUSICAL EXPERIENCES
On 2000, Marco plays the vibraphone parts of "Vivre la Vie" of Kelly Joyce, international pop star
On 2000, he plays at the Sala Verdi of the Theather of Fano a concert and a clinic for musical experts on "Creativity on Contemporary Music". He plays with his actual group Vibrafonia with Luca Villani on guitar, Matteo Fratesi on drums and Stefano Guardigli on bass. For that occasion they realise their cd "Fairy Tales" for the Phylology Record
During his experience in Us, Marco works for the school for recordings in studio being the first vibraphone player of the college with teachers such as Richard Evans, Ed Saindon and Francisco Mela (John Patitucci's drummer)
On December 2003, he's on tour with the vibraphonist Ed Saindon, his teacher for several concerts. The most importants were in Pennabilli at the "Vittoria Theather" and in Sant'Angelo in Vado "Zuccari's Theather". They have also clinics of jazz improvvisation opened for all the instruments.
On 2003 with the pianist Fulvio Ferrari makes a project called Ferrari-Pacassoni Duo. They release a cd called "Something Different" with special guest Ed Saindon recorded in Boston at the Mixone Studio
On April 2004 Marco record in Boston with german native guitar player Michael Vochezer "This Time"
From Summer 2004 Marco join the band Grammar School of Paul Manners, a very famous cover band in Italy. Marco plays drum set
The 6th August 2004 Marco plays with Michel Camilo at the "Villa Piccinetti" in Pesaro a duo piano and vibraphone
From April 2005 Marco with Daniele Di Gregorio and Simone Nobili make a trio called New Vibes Trio with vibraphone, marimba and guitar. They start touring with great venues like Fano Jazz Festival by the sea, Sant'Elpidio Jazz Festival and Val Tidone Jazz Festival.
On February 2006 the Splash Recording Label realises the first "New Vibes Trio" cd called "New Vibes Trio live 2005"
On Summer 2006 Marco is on tour with his new quartet composed by Massimo Manzi on drums, Massimo Moriconi on bass and Gianluca Lusi on sax
On Summer 2006 Marco plays with the famous Cuban drummer Horacio El Negro Hernandez's group Italuba at Sant'Elpidio Jazz Festival.
On December 2006 Marco record his first Cd with his new Group Partido Latino for the Philology Label of Paolo Piangerelli.
On March 2007 he record in New York with Jon Davis (Jaco Pastorius), Essiet Okon Essiet (Wallece Rooney) and Marcello Pallitteri (New York Voices, Joe Lovano) a tribute to Milt Jackson's Modern Jazz Quartet.
During Summer 2007 Marco tours with Partido Latino in many important festivals in Italy such as Casa del Jazz di Roma, Festival di Novellara, al Festival di Pesaro, al Festival di Mondavio, Festival di Civitanova Marche, Festival di Mantova, Festival di Corinaldo and many others.
In September 2007 Marco becomes chair of the harmony department on the Accademia Musica Moderna in Italy.
On Summer 2008 Marco is busy with the Tour 2008 of Partido Latino with Amik Guerra on trumpet. With Amik Guerra is starting a collaboration for concert on 2009.
On January 2009 Marco with Partido Latino records the new album "LatinoItaliano" featuring Alex Acuna on percussions and Amik Guerra on trumpet.
The 8th March 2009 Marco with his group Partido Latino realises at "Teatro della Fortuna" in Italy his new album "Latino Italiano" with great guests such as Amik Guerra on trumpet and Eguie Castrillo on percussions.
On April 2009 Marco with Amik Guerra plays at Frankfurt MusikMesse 2009 for Adams.
On Summer 2009 with his group Partido Latino and as Special Guest of some famous Italian Jazz Ensembles, , Marco plays at the most important Festivals in Italy.
From 2009, Marco Pacassoni plays exclusively Adams Vibraphone and Marimba.
On June 2009 with Elisa Ridolfi "Canta-me o Fado" project, Marco plays at Musicultura Festival in Macerata and during the summer they will play in many italian Etno Festivals.
On July and August 2009 Marco is busy with the tour of his bands: Partido Latino, Malelingue and as guest of Gianluca Lusi Quartet with Gianluigi Golgia on bass and Pietro Iodice on drums.
From September 2009 Marco became Endorser for Adams Vibraphones and Marimbas.
September 13th Marco plays a concert with Amik Guerra and Angelo Crisci for the DrumsWorld Festival 2009 in Ittervoort, Holland.
From September 2009 Marco became also the new drammer for the italian prog band Odessa.
On November 2009 with Odessa, Marco takes five concerts in Jakarta, Indonesia during the Jak@rt Festival. During the tour he plays also with René Van Helsdingen, famous pianist from Holland.
From February 2010 Marco starts a collaboration with Fillippo Lattanzi, one of the best marimba player in the world.
On March 2010 with Filippo Lattanzi, Marco plays at the Adams boots at the Musik Messe in Frankfurth, Germany.
On May 2010 Marco plays 5 concerts with the italian rock'n roll star Alessandro Ristori.
From 2nd until 6th June, Marco is a jazz vibraphone and jazz harmony Faculty at the Masterclasses organized from the association Sequenze from Castellana Grotte, Ba with Filippo Lattanzi and Michel Rosen. The 6th June, during the final concert, Marco presents his new originals with Filippo Lattanzi on drums, Giuseppe De Lilla on ac. bass, Onofrio Paciulli on piano and Sandro Esposito on percussions.
